Nicole Clough
about me
My name is Nicole (Hood) Clough, and I'm a Miami native, Manhattan-trained and Austin-based artist. My love for design began with acrylic painting and ceramics, and has expanded into the wider industry of marketing graphic design. My experience isn't just working with the Adobe Creative Suite; it includes art direction, logistics and planning, costing, scheduling, copywriting, campaign planning, and managing the relationships that inevitably come with those projects.
Outside of work, my greatest hobby is reading (classics, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, thriller; you name it). I adore my two cats, Sage & Willow, and spend a fair amount of my free time crafting, whether it's painting landscapes, bookbinding, illustrating bookmarks, or embroidering.
my philosophy
I believe the unexpected can't be underestimated, and working in today's creative industry means you have to be flexible, hardworking, and understanding.
I seek to uplift those around me. While having a comprehensive design skill set is indispensable, bringing a sense of positivity to your team is just as necessary if you want creativity to flourish..
I love a good, well-organized project, and genuinely enjoy creating excel sheets, whatever that may say about me.
Design tools are always evolving, and I am happy to grow with them. I've taught myself a number of new programs, whether it was to handle larger amounts of data or better collaborate with other team members.
